Whoa! DoorDash Is Likely Bringing Your Burrito with Sidewalk Delivery Bots - in LA
If you live on the West Side, you’ve seen your share of cute-ish robots rolling down sidewalks with someone’s dinner. Well, DoorDash is joining the club thanks to its new partnership with Serve Robotics. The press release says LA residents who use their app to order from participating merchants “may have their order delivered by a Serve robot.” Get ready for more 4-wheeled foot traffic!
Your Data Privacy (in California) Just Got Easier as Gov Newsom Signs Multiple Bills
Believe it or not, a 2018 law gave Californians the right to opt-out of having their data sold to third parties…but let’s just say it wasn’t easy to do it. Now web browsers will have to include a setting that allows all you residents to opt-out at one time instead of on individual websites. Another bill that’s now California law: social media companies need to make it easier to cancel your account and have all your data deleted. For the wonky details, see the official news release.
